Dear Saketians,

1. Today- June 5 is World Environment Day.
It was on this day last year that the idea of an ALM was born and hence we decided to observe the day as our Sthapana Diwas by holding a General Meeting.

2. 22 people attended today's meeting.( List with Hon. Secretary).
Mr Hemant Hajare chaired the meeting in absence of Mr Shasi Nair and Mr Upendra Menon.

3. Mr Nene, Secretary of the ALM, explained the purpose of the meeting and explained how and why the ALM was formed and its achievements so far.
He stated that the objective of the ALM was not to compete with the MC of the society but to complement it.
He added that our complex was too huge and it was not possible for the MC to tackle all its issues and hence the ALM had a role to play.

4. Mr Hajare informed that the focus of the ALM was to beautify and develop Saket Parisar from outside the society premises as the internal management vested with the MC of society.

5. Mr Nene informed that the ALM has applied for registration as a Society under the aegis of the Charity Commissioner's office.

6. Mr Nene briefed people about the recent efforts of the ALM- opposition to the proposed water tank of Rustomjee opp B1 gate - which is now shifted elsewhere, repairs to Saket Marg, petition to DCP Traffic to stop heavy vehicle movement on Temple to Highway and petition to stop garbage dumping on Saket Marg.
He informed all present about the problem faced by residents of the ground floor of C wing due to the TMC action against them.
He also introduced the topic of Deemed Conveyance.


7. Mr Abhyankar then briefed all present about Deemed Conveyance in detail. He said that the society is also making efforts for OC, this is a second path we are exploring and at a later stage, both of us will have to work in tandem to achieve the goal.

8. It was decided to form a committee of Mr Hajare, Mr Abhyankar and Mr Nene to take the matter ahead.

9. Mr Hajare then briefed about the proposed Tree plantation project which would start next Sunday, June 12, 2011.

10. It was decided to hold the next meeting on June 19, 2011.
It was also decided that all present will get as many xerox copies of members agreements with the builder in the next meeting so that the work on Deemed Conveyance shall be started.

11. Members present did raise issues like leakages, roofing etc but Mr Abhyankar and Mr Bedekar informed them that these matters should be addressed to the societ management as ALM was not the right forum for the same.

Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.

23/10/2017 Dear Saketians, Read the following carefully. It is going to have a impact on our society from now on. Post the 2014 amendments to the byelaws, Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.  The Society cannot implement such Resolution in AGM / SGM and put burden of contributing any money on all the members including the members who are not interested to participate, even though such Resolutions are passed. For Social, Cultural or Recreational activities; Society should use the Reserve Fund as described in Byelaw 147(b)iii, iv and utilise it as indicated in Byelaw 5(d).
