Monsoon Illnesses:
DENGUE is an infectious disease spread by mosquitoes ( Aedes Aegypti)
Symptoms :
Sudden onset of fever, severe headache and falling platelet count, the last of which can occasionally cause shock and haemorrhage (bleeding), leading to death.
Incubation Period :
5-7 days
Preventive Measures :
1. Avoid collection of stagnant water and keep mosquitoes at bay. 2. Visit your Doctor immediately if there is high fever.
3. Use mosquito nets or repellents like Odomos daily.
4. Teach children not to paly in muddy waters and wash their limbs clean.
5. Don't litter and dirty your surroundings.
6. Fumigate the surroundings once a while.
7. Each one, Counsel one.
8. Help Thane Municipal Corporation to keep Thane Clean and Green.
