CC: Shri Sanjay Kelkar, MLA, Thane City.

Madam Rashmi Karandikar ji,

Greetings to you on the festive season.
I would like you to recall our discussion when our delegation from Saket complex had called on you and your colleagues regarding the perennial traffic jam on Saket Road up to Kalwa Bridge and the increase of heavy traffic on the road passing through our complex to the highway.

We had at that time appraised you all that the road from Mahalaxmi temple to the highway passes through our complex area. On one side of the road are our residential buildings A7 to A10. On the opposite side is the temple and a Nana Nani park and a Balodyan.
Needless to mention, members of our complex frequently use this road - either to go to the temple or one of the parks.
The road is mostly used by senior citizens, ladies and children.

Since the past year, we have witnessed that the traffic police diverts trucks, dumpers and other heavy vehicles from the Mahalaxmi temple junction through this road.
We also have the traffic coming from Nasik highway, taking a left turn and entering our complex.
All this movement has put the life of our Senior citizens, ladies and children at grave risk and we live in the daily fear of some untoward incident happening on the road.

Last time when we met you, you had suggested that as a first step, you will make the road from Mahalaxmi temple to highway ONE WAY  and gradually stop movement of heavy traffic on this road.
You had also said that the left turn from the highway will be closed by putting up Crash barriers there and you had already given instructions to M/s IRB Infrastructure regarding the same.
It was also decided to put 2 speed breakers on the road to regulate the speed.

In the same connection, I also wrote to Mr. Deepak Mhaiskar of IRB to expedite the same
(copy of the correspondence was marked to you).
I am pained to state that none of the above has happened till now.
It is my humble request to you to please act immediately and do the needful - preferably stop movement of heavy vehicles - immediately - before someone dies - else we will be forced to take legal remedies or do Rasta Roko.

Regards,

For Saket Parisar ALM,

Dayanand Nene
President.
