Sub: Occupation Certificate (OC) update:


I had a lengthy meeting with TMC officials and Suhas Desai - our Corporator regarding our OC.

I am informing you about what transpired in the meeting.

1) The old amnesty scheme, which was terminated by TMC last year is over.
2) Along with it, all applications made by various Societies - including Saket -and not attended to - meaning not given OC then - all such applications have been cancelled.
3) Our old application stands cancelled.
4) Based on various representations made by me and others last year, the TMC has introduced a new Amnesty scheme w.e.f. January 2018 up to 30 June 2018.
5) TMC has simplified the scheme and reduced the rates of penalty.
6) The minimum rate of penalty for the delay is now RS. 10,000/- and maximum is RS. 50,000/- depending on area - please refer to the form attached herewith.
7) All Society's and members, will have to submit a fresh application in the given format.
8) It means we also will have to submit fresh application along with documents as given earlier.
9) The Society will have to submit its building plan compulsorily - if you don't have one, you have to get one made by your architect, taking into account the alterations done by members.
10) The Society will have to submit a fresh Structural Stability Certificate taken in the past 12 months.
11) There is no individual OC now. OC will be given to the Society.
12) The TMC will Survey and charge penalty to members who have done internal alterations. Only on paying the penalty, the alterations will be regularized.
13) Additions or external alterations to the structure will not be regularized and such members shall have to revert back to the original design else OC will be refused to the entire building.
14) Sheds made of corrugated sheets and cement sheets - put to cover balconies will be ok and regularized after paying the penalty but slabs will not be regularized and OC can be refused to the building.
15) All fresh, fully completed applications should be submitted to the Town Planning Dept. by June 30, 2018 - to be eligible for the Amnesty scheme.

This is the factual situation.

All talk of 'only one sign is remaining', 'OC is being given to 5 selective flats initially', ' OC is coming in 2 months' - all this is not correct and false - to put it in decent words.

Please don't believe them.

I ñow leave it to the wisdom of the Office bearers and majority members of the Managing Committee as to how they want to deal with the subject.

Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.

23/10/2017 Dear Saketians, Read the following carefully. It is going to have a impact on our society from now on. Post the 2014 amendments to the byelaws, Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.  The Society cannot implement such Resolution in AGM / SGM and put burden of contributing any money on all the members including the members who are not interested to participate, even though such Resolutions are passed.
