Decision to cut the direct water supply to Saket CHSL, Thane and divert it through the water reservoir (tank) near Rustomjee Urbania township.

Dear Sir,

Since the past 3/4 days, our society, Saket CHSL is being sounded by TMC officials that the Corporation intends to cut off the direct water supply line to our complex and intend to re-route it through the water reservoir tank near the Rustomjee Urbania township.
Today evening we were informed that work to that effect shall be starting on May 6th morning.
With due respect to the TMC officials, our submission is as under:
1) Saket Complex is a huge township of 24 buildings and 3 Towers. About 4000 people reside here.
2) There is a TMC Water filling station next to our complex and we have been receiving water directly thru tapping since 2003.
3) Now a new township - Rustomjee Urbania has come up in the vicinity. This township is also going to be huge with app 2000 flats  i.e. 8000 people going to reside there.
4) TMC has built a Water reservoir tank near the Rustomjee township - which is after Saket Complex.
5) We are apprehensive that re-routing the water supply of Saket Complex via the Rustomjee Water reservoir will result in Water scarcity for the 4000 residents of Saket Complex and severely inconvenience them.
6) I had pointed out this thing to you 2 years ago. Since then, everything had  went quiet and we presumed that the matter was sorted out. Hence, it has come as a shock when it has reared it's head again.
In view of the above, we request you to please defer this decision and continue with the existing system for water supply.
Our complex is agreeable to fix water meters to regulate the water supply.
(In fact, in 2003, we on our initiative had got water meters fixed - which are still there to see).

We request you to please consider this request and oblige.

Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.

23/10/2017 Dear Saketians, Read the following carefully. It is going to have a impact on our society from now on. Post the 2014 amendments to the byelaws, Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.  The Society cannot implement such Resolution in AGM / SGM and put burden of contributing any money on all the members including the members who are not interested to participate, even though such Resolutions are passed.
