Dear Sir,

Sub: Granting temporary license to fruit vendors near Saket.

With respect to the above subject,  I have to submit as under :
1) Saket Complex is in a way an isolated locality with main markets at least 2 kilometres away.
2) In addition to this, there is major infrastructure work - construction of the 3rd Kalwa Bridge underway on Saket - Kalwa Road, leading to major traffic snarls throughout the day.
3) This has made commuting in and out of Saket a hazardous experience for residents.
4) Going to the market for buying vegetables makes one incur an expense of Rs.50/- one way.

5) Hence, we residents have been requesting street vendors selling fruits to ply their haat-gaadi for 4/5 hours on Saket Rd. so the residents are saved of the effort of spending money, going to the market and can buy vegetables and fruits at their society.
6) However, some self styled neta's from some goddam political parties are threatening them and driving them away,  maybe because they don't get their hafta's.
7) For your information, these vendors are paying daily Rs. 20/- to TMC people.
8) We have talked with our Corporators Suhas Desai and Najeeb Mulla and they are ready to cooperate with us to facilitate the residents.
9) We request you to grant temporary hawking license to the vendors who will come with our / and -or the Coroprators reference letter, till the bridge work is over.

Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.

23/10/2017 Dear Saketians, Read the following carefully. It is going to have a impact on our society from now on. Post the 2014 amendments to the byelaws, Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.  The Society cannot implement such Resolution in AGM / SGM and put burden of contributing any money on all the members including the members who are not interested to participate, even though such Resolutions are passed.
