Survey of flats from Saket CHSL, Thane for OC purpose by TMC officials..

Respected Sir,

I have been writing to you many times on many occasions thru different forums - Alert Citizens Forum, Saket Parisar ALM, Consumer Protection Service Council etc. on socio civic issues and many times, I am pleased to inform you that TMC officials have attended to my suggestions and tried to solve problems.

Sir, today, I am writing to you to point out some glaring mistake/mischief that I suspect is being played out on me either by the TMC staff or agents hanging in the Corporation office.
I am attaching herewith a RTI reply received from the TMC regarding the subject of OC for Saket CHSL, Thane.

On a question as to whether Saket CHSL has applied for OC under the new Amnesty scheme, the answer given is that TMC doesn't know whether the society has applied or not.

I am an ex Chairman and current Managing Committee member of Saket.
As far as my knowledge goes, so far our society has not applied for OC under the new Amnesty scheme.

Hence, I was surprised that last Sunday, a few TMC men visited a select few flats with the plans of Saket with a reason that they are doing a survey of flats for OC purpose.
I am surprised that how can a survey be undertaken when no application has been made?

Sir, what I presume is that there is a guy called Sanjay Tarkar, who poses to be an 'official agent' of the TMC Town Planning Dept. He has approached the society through one of TMC employee - a lady who resides in Saket.
This agent boasts that he is helping another Society - Saket Towers in their OC matter and can "fix" TMC officials. It is his idea that you take the TMC officials to "selective" flats and they will certify that everything is in order and give OC without levying penalty.

Ours is a single society of 672 members. Over 500 of them have made rampant and audacious illegal alterations in their flats.
The society is almost 30 years old and the buildings are badly in need of Repairs.
We are fighting with the current office bearers to first get members to revert the illegal alterations done as they are endangering the buildings.
They keep on boasting that they will manage everything.

Sir, this must be my 10th letter on subject of Saket. We care about the buildings stability as they have been ransacked over the years due to illegal alterations.
I hope you will instruct your officials to exercise extra caution and not get "managed" and not give OC without ensuring the Structural Stability of the buildings.

Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.

23/10/2017 Dear Saketians, Read the following carefully. It is going to have a impact on our society from now on. Post the 2014 amendments to the byelaws, Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.  The Society cannot implement such Resolution in AGM / SGM and put burden of contributing any money on all the members including the members who are not interested to participate, even though such Resolutions are passed.
