Fire NOC requirements and provisions as per Municipal Corporation - for information and awareness

The Chairman / Secretary,

I am attaching herewith a detailed note prepared by Mumbai municipal Corporation regarding Fire NOC and compliances for societies.
All Municipal Corporations follow what Mumbai Municipal Corporation prescribes. So TMC also fpllows the same rules and regulations.
I will request all our MC members and also interested enlightened residents to read these provisions and be aware.
You may please take a print out of the same and keep it in society office for our reference.
In our infighting - which has been going on for past 3 years, our committee has forgotten our core agenda for governance.
I am only trying to bring us back on track.
Please remember that the society has to get a Fire Audit done once a year - for old buildings like us.
We had got one done in June 2015. After that I dont think it happened.
I request you to devote some time to these important aspects of the society, and maybe, once a while have a brainstorming session in our MC meetings. 
Remember, accidents happen only once but leave you repenting for a lifetime.

Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.

23/10/2017 Dear Saketians, Read the following carefully. It is going to have a impact on our society from now on. Post the 2014 amendments to the byelaws, Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.  The Society cannot implement such Resolution in AGM / SGM and put burden of contributing any money on all the members including the members who are not interested to participate, even though such Resolutions are passed. For Social, Cultural or Recreational activities; Society should use the Reserve Fund as described in Byelaw 147(b)iii, iv and utilise it as indicated in Byelaw 5(d).
