Dear Sir,
This has reference to the Vijayanta Battle Tank, originally placed outside Mumbra Railway Station and our submission to you is as follows:
1) The Vijayanta Battle Tank was originally placed outside the Mumbra Railway Station ceremoniously in 2013.
2) It caught the fancy of people and became a star attraction for the people going to Mumbra.
3) Last month, the undersigned, while travelling back from Mumbra to Thane, found that the Tank was unceremoniously dumped at a junkyard near Reti Bunder.
4) Couple of more visits and I found that it was lying there for a substantial period of time and was frequented by drug addicts and urchins consuming liquor.
5) As the Tank is of historical heritage, I was shocked and immediately twitted to you the situation.
6) The issue was also highlighted in the media and TMC officials gave a statement that the Tank was shifted from Mumbra for maintenance and painting and will soon be relocated at a suitable place elsewhere.
7) Sir, Vijayanta Tank is our nation's pride and it should be relocated at a proper place.
8) We suggest that it should be relocated at the Police Ground on Saket Road in Thane or at Saket Complex - where there is adequate space and security available.
