[Extract of letter written on 23/10/17] Dear Saketians, Read the following carefully. It is going to have a impact on our society from now on. Post the 2014 amendments to the byelaws, Society cannot charge or demand money / donation for the Cultural/Festival Expenses from their members/residents.  The Society cannot implement such Resolution in AGM / SGM and put burden of contributing any money on all the members including the members who are not interested to participate, even though such Resolutions are passed. For Social, Cultural or Recreational activities; Society should use the Reserve Fund as described in Byelaw 147(b)iii, iv and utilise it as indicated in Byelaw 5(d). Byelaw 147(a) After providing for the interest upon any loans and deposits and after making such other deductions as required under Section 65(1) and 66 of the MCS Act 1960 and Rule 49A of MCS Rules 1961, twenty five percent (25%) of the net profit of all the business carried on by or on acc

Calling an SGM to frame a proper parking policy for Saket

4/11/17 The Secretary, Saket  CHSL, Thane. Dear Sir, The issue of Parking is being hotly discussed in the Society for the past many months. History: We had first attempted to organize our parking by allotting parking space to members, as per decision taken in an AGM @ RS. 1000/- pa for 4 wheelers and RS. 500/- pa for 2 wheelers way back in 2007, when I was the Secretary. That time, our Committee members Sunil Shinde and GM Wajpe had taken great effort to earmark spaces to members and had coordinated the entire activity. We have about 215 parking spaces in our complex. Since then, there has been no revision in the allotment and members then allotted are enjoying the facility at the same rate decided at that time. We have a huge waiting list and in the past 10 years, we have hardly given parking to new members. Law: On direction of the court, the Maharashtra Govt first drafted a Parking policy in 2011 and the same was Incorporated in the byelaws

November 28, 2017 The Chairman/ Secretary, Saket   CHS  Ltd, Thane West. CC: The Dy. Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Thane City - with a request to depute your officer to elect a new Secretary for our Society. CC: The Cooperation Commissioner, Pune. - for information Dear Sirs, 1) I have received the notice for tomorrow's Managing Committee meeting along with the agenda and I have to submit as under: a) I am disgusted and appalled to see that the agenda is almost a cut paste of past months. b) You have neither included nor informed me that why have you not included the important subjects - eg Parking - suggested by me in my letter to you earlier this month,  in the meeting. c)  I am equally appalled that when more important issues like Parking, the action taken on the Auditor's Special Report and the Audit Rectification Report, Illegal Alterations to flats, need to be addressed, you have not included them in the agenda. d) For your in

Information on action taken / being taken by Society on people violating Bye Law no. 170 (A).

[ Extract of letter written to Secretary on 11/8/13] The Hon. Secretary, Saket   CHS  Ltd., Thane (W). Dear Sir, With reference to the above subject, I would like to draw your kind attention to the SGM held in the past, in which it was decided that the society shall take action against all people who have violated bye law no. 170 (A) and made massive alterations in their flats without the permission of the TMC or the Society. The bye law no. 170 (A) states as under: Bye-law no. 170(a) – a new provision that says that if any society member is found to have encroached on common areas, or has made modifications which change the facade of the flat without the prior approval of the society or the related municipal corporation, or used the flat for any purpose other than that for which it was allotted, “ shall pay an amount equal to five times the monthly maintenance charges, per month with retrospective effect for the period for which such violation is existed.”

Allegation levelled by you against me in the Managing Committee meeting

15/12/17 The Secretary, Saket  CHSL, Thane West. Dear Sir, This has reference to the specific but baseless allegation levelled by you against me in the Managing Committee meeting held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 that I come to Society office and intimidate the two Lady members of the staff, use coercive language against them and bully them and that they are scared of me. The entire allegations are false and wrong and made in front of 10 other Committee members with the sole intention of tarnishing my image, making me look like a villian and undermine me. I demand a direct meeting with the two ladies in question and yourself to clarify on the matter. Please treat this as urgent. Regards, Dayanand Nene Member,  Saket  Managing Committee

Allegations against my wife in the Managing Committee meeting

15/12/17 The Secretary, Saket  CHSL, Thane West Dear Sir, This has reference to the specific allegation levelled by you in our last MC meeting held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 that my wife had approached Mrs. Sandhya Shastri and asked for her support..etc. In the meeting I had offered to call my wife to clarify the matter but was restrained by other members. I have since inquired about the same with my wife, who has talked about it with Mrs. Shastri and she ( Mrs. Shastri) has denied it. I strongly condemn the entire issue. This has become a sinister practice to drag the name of my wife unnecessarily in meetings and try to attach motives when there are none - when she has got nothing to do with the meeting's agenda. Even earlier on two occasions, a member had referred to my wife. Such things are deplorable and are done with a wilful and deliberate attempt to undermine the esteem of a lady and degrade her in the eyes of public. I demand an uncondit

Repairs and Renovation program of Saket 2018.

February 1, 2018 The Secretary, Saket  CHSL, Thane West 400601. Dear Sir, With reference to the above, I have to state as under: 1) You have kick started the process of the Repairs and Renovation program for  Saket  this year. 2) The preparatory work was begun in 2015 when I was the Chairman and Bipin Kulkarni the Secretary, when we had held our "Open Forum for Repairs" meeting and made the first presentation for conducting repairs. 3) However, after that, specially after the change of office bearers in 2016, you and your colleague office bearers totally sidelined me. 4) Actually, I was associated with the Repairs planning and program in the past as a member of the Repair Committee. 5) Of the entire set of current Managing Committee members, I have been the most active person, very closely involved with various aspects of the Society for over a decade. 6) Still, your group, based on the majority you all have cobbled up against me, have not only side

January 28, 2018 The Secretary, Saket CHS Ltd. Thane.
